ASAŞ is meeting art lovers at the Art and Culture Route Festival

As part of the Culture Route Festival organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, four special works—including the giant statue of Atatürk designed by Seçkin Pirim—which have been brought to life with the support of ASAŞ Sanat, will be on display at the Istanbul AKM until 3 October and at the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory from 26 October to 3 November.

ASAŞ, one of Turkey’s leading industrial organisations, continues its unwavering support for art and artists. As part of the Culture Route Festival organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, four works produced in the ASAŞ Art workshop are on display at the Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Centre until 3 October. Following Istanbul, the works will meet art lovers at the İzmir Culture and Arts Factory (the Historic Alsancak Tobacco Factory) from 26 October to 3 November. Among the works on display is the massive Atatürk statue designed by artist Seçkin Pirim in commemoration of the Republic’s 100th anniversary.

The work consists of 100 layers, each representing a year of the Republic. The bridge-like form at the centre of the statue, which carries the message “We are the work of the Republic, you are its face”, symbolises Atatürk’s pioneering role in establishing modern Turkey and expresses that the Republic serves as a bridge for those living on this land. Art lovers visiting the exhibition can also view works such as Robin Seyhmus Çoban’s “The Trapped”, Nisa Karaca’s “Cycle” and Hakan Çınar’s “Untitled”.
